Waldskin's music is meant to be oppressively beautiful and grainy. A complex mix of purity and imperfections, of calm and latent violence. Through an unusual instrumentation (drums, synthesizers, cello, guitars, noises and vocals), Waldskin presents a unique musical style, oscillating between art pop and electronica, without denying themselves stylistic digressions.
Despite their unique musical style, the band doesn't deny their numerous influences like Massive Attack, Portishead, Nine Inch Nails, Moderat, Radiohead, etc...
Formed in 2020 by Aurèle Louis, Maryam Hammad and Nathan Gros, Waldskin aspires to novelty, to the creation of a world with as yet unknown destinations. Through their lyrics, sometimes full of criticism and provocation, the band questions social norms and the destructive relationship between mankind and what surrounds it.
